April 2011
Jason turned 16 on April 9!
Brad and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary on April 2.
Mom and Dad's 55th wedding anniversary was April 28.
For our anniversary - we went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse on the Plaza.
On the 3rd we went to Mom and Dad's for a combined birthday celebration for Jason and me.
On Jason's birthday - the 4 of us went out to KCK to Nebraska Furniture Mart so Jay could pick out a new desk chair. Then we went to Dave & Buster's to eat lunch and play games. We came home around 5 and rested for a bit then went back out for a bit to Independence Center and Barnes & Noble. We weren't hungry for dinner since we had a big lunch so we saved Jay's birthday dinner for the next day. We went to Olive Garden.
Even at 16 you get to have annual checkups. Jason passed his medical checkup with flying and colors and had a couple of cavities he had to have filled at his dental checkup. He's all done now for at least another year.
On April 11, Mom finally had surgery on her right foot that she has been having issues with for months. The surgery went well but she can't put any weight on it for 6-8 weeks. She currently has a cast and is using the knee walker to get around. She has to spend most of her time sitting though with her foot elevated.
Alec has been attending boy scout meetings and seems to enjoy it. He will go on his first Boy Scout camp out in a couple of weeks.
We went to South Dakota for Easter weekend as you can probably tell from the previous post.

March 2011
March Birthdays
Taryn turned 26 on March 15
Brad's father turned 75 on March 22
and I turned 39 again on March 30
My guys took me out to dinner at Red Lobster on my Birthday. It was yummy! We are going to Mom and Dad's today to celebrate my and Jason's birthdays. Jay will be 16 next Saturday.
The big event in March was the end of Cub Scouts for Alec (and me). On March 29, Alec received his Arrow of Light award and crossed over to Boy Scouts. He started as a Tiger Cub when he was 6 and was in Cub Scouts/Webelos for the last 5 years. It is the end of an era.
