Southern California Day 4 - not such a great day for me

We checked out of our Sunset Beach motel and headed towards San Diego.  We had no hotel reservations and planned to find a hotel once we got there.  I wanted to see the area first since I had never been farther south than LA.
Along the way we stopped at a Mexican restaurant in Oceanside, on the recommendation of a co-worker.  Everyone seemed to like it.  I, however, made the mistake of eating guacamole.  It was on my tacos and I thought a little bit wouldn't hurt me.  Boy was I wrong.  I apparently have an allergy to avocados.  In  the past I have gotten a slight stomachache after eating them.  On this day it was more than slight and I was completely miserable for several hours.  This made the rest of the ride and finding a hotel quite miserable.   On top of that my feet were blistered from 12 hours at Disney.  I thought for sure the rest of my vacation was ruined.
We made it though and found a hotel.  I think we lucked out with the hotel we found.  It was my favorite of our trip.  It was the La Jolla Cove Suites.  It was more like an apartment.  It had a balcony with a great view, living room with a sofa bed for the boys, full kitchen and a big bedroom for Brad and me.  Below are a couple of pictures from the balcony.
Once we got to the hotel and I was able to lay down for a couple of hours - I felt much better.  The hotel also had a pool and nice, big hot tub.  The boys and I went for a dip later that evening.  The hot tub felt wonderful.  After the hot tub we watched the movie 'Argo'.

Seals spend much of their day on these rocks.
